In the initial consultation, at any of our clinics, the optometrist will discuss the patient’s ocular history, general health, age, occupation, and hobbies in order to ascertain suitability for LASIK surgery.
A comprehensive Ocular examination with scans and measurements of your eyes will be carried out. In some cases extra checks may be required, for example contact lens trials for blended vision in presbyopic patients.
Following the consultation, the patient watches the consent video, which outlines the surgical procedure in detail. When it is agreed that the candidate is suitable for the procedure, a patient consent form is signed. If you live outside the areas of our clinics, a consultation can also be arranged with your local optometrist.
