What to Expect at Your Free Assessment
Whether you're exploring laser eye surgery, cataract removal, or refractive lens exchange, your first consultation takes about one hour and includes a detailed, personalised evaluation of your eyes and visual correction goals.
High-Precision Diagnostic Testing
Our experienced clinical team will guide you through a series of non-invasive, high-resolution scans that assess:
- The refractive state of your eyes (your exact prescription)
- Corneal mapping to check thickness and shape
- Lens and retina health to evaluate your suitability for surgery
These detailed scans go far beyond a routine eye exam and are essential to forming the safest and most effective treatment plan.
Tailored Advice from Trusted Experts
We’ll take the time to understand:
- Your medical and eye health history
- Your occupation, lifestyle, and what clear vision means to you
- Any questions or concerns you may have about your options
If laser surgery isn’t ideal, other advanced procedures like ICL (Implantable Contact Lenses) or Refractive Lens Exchange may be more suitable, and we’ll talk through those with you, too.

If you're a suitable candidate, we’ll clearly explain:
- The recommended treatment plan
- Outcomes, risks, costs, and recovery expectations
- Next steps, should you choose to go ahead
In some cases, we may recommend a contact lens trial of your potential outcome (a small fee applies).
There's no obligation or pressure; you’ll have time to consider everything and book only when you're ready.
What’s Included in Your Free Assessment?
Included:
- A comprehensive suite of diagnostic scans
- Consultation with a highly experienced optometrist
- Personalised advice for laser, cataract, or lens-based correction
Not Included:
- Contact lens trial (if required). A small fee applies
- Monitoring or treatment of pre-existing eye conditions
- If you’ve had prior eye surgery, an assessment fee applies to cover the additional testing and time required.
How to Prepare for Your Appointment
- Remove contact lenses before your appointment:
- Soft lenses: Remove 2 days prior
- Hard lenses: Remove 6 weeks prior
If this isn’t feasible, please discuss with our team when booking.
- Bring all your glasses with you
- Had previous eye surgery? Let us know when booking and bring any relevant documentation
- Same-day surgery is not offered – thorough evaluation comes first
- Need to cancel or reschedule? Please give 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
