Laser Eye Surgery FAQs
Most people over 20 with healthy eyes are eligible. For some careers (like police or paramedics), surgery may be done from age 18.
There’s no upper age limit, but we’ll check your eye health to ensure laser surgery is right for you. Cataracts or other conditions may need alternative solutions.
We assess your suitability with advanced scans, including:
- Corneal mapping & thickness
- Corneal health check
- Vision prescription testing
No. Your eyes are numbed with drops, so while you may feel some pressure, the procedure isn’t painful. Most patients are surprised how quick and easy it is.
Yes, for convenience and faster recovery.
Yes, but your eyes are numb, and you won’t feel discomfort. General anaesthetic isn’t needed.
Just a few minutes per eye—quicker than making a cup of tea. You'll be in and out the same day.
This is a common fear, but the risk is extremely rare. We use leading ZEISS laser technology and follow strict safety standards.
A gentle device holds your eyes open and anaesthetic drops prevent blinking. If you need to cough or sneeze, just let your surgeon know.
Results are long-lasting. Some age-related vision changes may occur later, and a laser top-up may be an option.

For 1 week:
